v0.3.106
October 16, 2026
Added
- Local sessions: change a session's Project folder from the session header, without starting a new session.
- Chat names what the agent is doing and flags a turn that has stalled.
- A resumed session shows a short wake-up line instead of a persistent resumed-session block.
- Message comments open in a popover anchored to the text they refer to.
- Cloud environments: one page for builds, setup and start scripts, with images built from
.alan/environment.json, Azure DevOps and multi-owner GitHub repositories. An environment rebuilds when its configured branch is pushed. - In-app terminal and desktop for cloud machines on every provider, through the Alan machine gateway.
- Private networks and per-sandbox VPN clients for cloud sandboxes.
- Fuzzy search in task pickers.
- The desktop app blocks with an update dialog when it is too old for the server.
- Onboarding: a persistent setup frame, live computer artwork, recipient validation and personal workspace defaults.
Fixed
- Local runs no longer fail with "This folder belongs to a different repository" when a project folder's git origin differs from the task's saved repository, including every task created before the GitHub organisation move. (AL-4446)
- Claude resumes a session after its Project folder changes.
- Archiving a chat can be undone from its toast.
- Inline artifacts open in the session sidebar.
- A closed task session tab no longer reopens, and a collapsed task workspace stays collapsed.
- Repository pickers load every GitHub branch and search branches on demand.
- Windows: Git Bash command trees stop cleanly, and declared npm commands run.
- A paused terminal keeps its final output after the process exits.
- GitHub identity status refreshes, and OAuth recovers in place, including the signed desktop return.
- Cloud machines stay awake through link drops and long clones, and recover from transient provider failures before work starts.
