v0.3.107
October 22, 2026
Added
- Cloud usage for organisations: an org Usage page and Org Dashboard with team spend charts, per-team limits, a usage timeline and CSV export. Buy any amount of cloud credits ($5 to $1,000) and see every credit, monthly usage and invoice as a transaction on the Plan page.
- A session rail that shows the skills, MCP servers and subagents a session used, and
/mcplists the MCP servers the agent loaded. - Custom command MCP servers run inside agent runs, and Google Workspace and Notion MCP connections complete from desktop and web.
- Update the agent CLIs Alan manages straight from the update toast.
- Converting a chat to a task drafts it with the agent, keeping the description to what you said.
- Pull requests created with
ghlink to their session automatically. - Sign in with Slack confirms the Slack and Alan accounts before linking them.
Changed
- Alan moves a computer still on the old (v1) runtime to the current runtime when the app starts, before you sign in, and stops the old runtime's background process.
- Any desktop app or computer runtime too old for Alan now shows a blocking "Update required" prompt with the exact fix, instead of failing with errors. Computers show the command to run and, on this computer, a one-click Update.
- Old (v1) runtimes are no longer served. Run
npm i -g @alan-ai-hq/agent-manager@latest && alan-agent setup --deviceon a computer that only uses the command-line runtime. - Cloud tasks run on their environment's shared machine, so a task and its chats use the same computer.
- Screenshots, recordings and generated images from agent runs upload to storage instead of living inside the transcript, so long sessions load faster.
- The sidebar groups sessions by scope and by what needs your attention.
- Cloud and local chats are private by default.
Fixed
- One busy or misbehaving computer can no longer slow Alan down for everyone else.
- A computer stops re-sending transcript checks for sessions that already finished, batches its transcript uploads, and stops retrying when its credential was revoked.
- Downloaded desktop updates install automatically when the app is idle.
- Signing in on a computer another account set up lets your account take it over.
- A computer whose background runtime got stuck recovers on its own, and onboarding no longer waits for the connection.
- The desktop app sends API requests through its own app protocol, which removes a round of cross-origin checks on every call.
- A cloud start that is refused shows the real reason, on web and mobile.
- Messages sent while a session is paused are held and delivered when it resumes.
- A finished turn's answer is never hidden inside its folded steps.
